A warm and welcoming club, formed to promote and encourage live and acoustic Singers and musicians from around the Somerset, Devon and Dorset areas.

Based in the centre of Chard, with Free on-road parking the Conservative Club is ideally situated to host these evenings.

Cathy and Simon will be your hosts. They have a lengthy association with Folk music and have volunteered at and helped run a number of folk festivals around the country.

When: On the second and fourth Thursday of every month (except August, due to festivals)
• Time: Singing and music from 19:30pm until 22:30 (7.30pm until 10.30pm)

• Where: The Conservative Club, 6 High Street, Chard, Somerset. TA20 1QB.

• Cost: FREE.

• Who: Anyone:
  • Singers - Sing traditional folk songs, self penned songs or any genre that grabs you.
  • Musicians - play any instrument without amplification. Traditional, self written as well as modern tunes
  • Story Tellers - Read or recite from memory short stories or anecdotes
  • Poets - Read or recite self penned or any short poems you have in your collection
  • and, of course, the ever important audience. Please feel free to come along and listen to some fun and quality music and spoken word.

All genres welcome, from traditional to modern as well as self penned songs and music.

Come and listen to some of the areas excellent singers and musicians.
